Lay Eucharistic Visitors are Eucharistic Ministers who, directly following the Celebration of the Holy Eucharist on Sunday or other regularly scheduled Celebrations, take the consecrated sacrament to members of the congregation who, due to illness or infirmity, were unable to be present at the Celebration. It is a privilege for those of us in this ministry to pray with and administer the sacraments to those we visit. All Lay Eucharistic Visitors must meet all canonical requirements of the Episcopal Church and be licensed by the Bishop of the Diocese of Ohio. If you are interested in learning more about becoming a Lay Eucharistic Visitor or know a member we should be visiting, contact Lis Hugh.
