Christian formation
Christ Church is interested in forming disciples -- people who share their God-given gifts for the building up of the Body of Christ for the sake of the world. Our belief is that all have gifts for the building up of the Body of Christ for the sake of the world. Our belief is that all have gifts to offer -- including our children. Thus, discipleship involves two pivotal steps -- the discernment of our gifts and talents and the acceptance and willingness to live out our vocation.
These two steps are facilitated through Christian Formation. Formation is more than education. Formation is a life-long process -- a journey where God meets us where we are and where we begin to develop a consciousness of living a life that is steeped in God. Thus, Formation is the means whereby we cultivate our awareness of God's presence in all of life. It is through Formation that we open ourselves to the transforming power of the Spirit. And, through the work of the Spirit, we become the primary conduits for God's presence in the world -- truly becoming the Body of Christ.
